Mulberry Scissor Oval Zircon

Moody mulberry in gemstone form.

This 2.45 carat natural zircon was hand-cut in my scissor oval design, with long, intersecting facets that break its unusual color into flashes of plum, dusty rose, wine, and soft violet. Depending on the light, it can shift from a muted mauve-purple to a deeper, moodier mulberry.

And the color is really the star here. It’s soft and romantic rather than loud—the kind of purple that feels a little antique, a little mysterious, and exceptionally pretty in motion. The scissor facets give it structure and contrast, flashing between velvety shadows and bright ribbons of color as the stone moves.

This is a naturally included gemstone. A small orange-toned, surface-reaching inclusion is visible on the left side of the crown, with additional wispy natural inclusions visible on the right side and at certain angles.
